| Denroy Morgan
|
| In the land of all that is Jah and Rastafari, Preacher Denroy Morgan, father of world renowned reggae group Morgan Heritage, is considered King. Denroy has "led a bloodline of successful musicians and cultural ambassadors who have taken Jamaican music worldwide" and is embarking on a new gospel album release due out this April, 2006.
Denroy was in MDI with our favorite Roadie from the 60's, Dinky Dawson, to have our crew mix 8 tracks and master the whole album. With a working title "Denroy Morgan, Fire", all 14 songs were captured in some of the best recording studios in the world, including Shaggy's. "Fire" is based on the Nyahbingi beat, brilliantly blended with traditional melodies and lyrical content that brings together the Old and New Testaments. A must have for the true reggae ethusiast's collection, be on the lookout for it @ www.morganheritagemusic.com |

| The Ryan J. Lariviere Memorial Fund
|
| The Ryan J. Lariviere Memorial Fund is a Registered Non-profit 501C 3 Musicians' Charity spear-headed by Ryan's parents, Rick and Marie Lariviere. In 2003 Ryan was in a terrible car accident and passed away as a result. He was an only child, an ambitious, young musician who displayed an awful lot of talent in every area of his life. His loving parents established the fund as a way to honor his legacy. The vision for the Fund is to give new original musicians a chance to be discovered. Getting that first demo CD cut and published is a monumental undertaking requiring time, energy, and thousands of dollars. It is all too often more than a person or band can afford in the early stages of their musical career. The Fund makes those all-important demo CD's a reality for the right candidates. The Fund set out to establish an annual "Battle of the Bands", where musicians from New England compete to win the prize package of their dreams. Each year musicians, whose musical talents and ideologies reflect those of Ryan's, compete for the grand prize. Using a panel of industry judges, performers are judged using a set of established criteria consisting, in part, of musical style, content, quality, skills, originality, stage presence, and personal interests.
